Optimist Essay Contest is held annually by the Optimist International Club in three levels, namely club, district, and International. International winner will receive US$ 6,000 college scholarships and a plaque while second and third place winners will receive a plaque and US$ 3,750 and US$ 2,250 scholarships respectively.
